Sentimental crap / Should we be hedonist? / Synchronicity / Constantly updating my blog...

"Count on me - Jefferson Airplane" is a nice song and all, I remember it came on after but then I played it (I just unlinked it) and I do believe in "Magic" but the Stones cut-to-the-chase///of what its all about (ok a bit sexist). Every song in existence seems to be about love in some form or other. "Live with Me" universal themes, nothing new, a house, a dog, kids (a butler) etc. you do have to "count on the other person" so to speak and literally at times; its just the sentimentality that suddenly irked me; Jefferson Starship eventually broke-up (not an uncommon occurrence with bands) - the Stones for better or worse - roll on (maybe, ok it could be a cash-cow, but they do seem to have integrity and some sincere love of what they do together).

I don't know why I'm posting so much - I'll get off my soapbox now, talk is cheep. I'm just listening to music; - I guess it cleared my mind though. But this is rather an interesting place for, reflection and telling our stories. I'm mindful that the reality is out-there and that there are things that are unspoken and yet to be imagined but thats another place and another time.

To quote the Black Sheep "this or that" (thanks Raven where ever you are) good advice to all; they've got a great way of putting things: Maybe its about honestly figuring out and focusing on what you love and you'll at least be happy with that or be striving so the hard work makes it worth it (the journey etc etc); and the part about (having your own back) - love yourself foremost or else how can you possibly accept or recognize what real love is (all about) or ultimately find it, or allow it to find you (didn't want to end on a preposition o.w.e.). I'm no expert, cause I think I just invented the boomerang. I think I'm going to go to bed and re-read "The Cosmic Trigger" (Thanks again Raven) Vol. 1 Robert Anton Wilson - synchronicity, chakras, and weird interesting stuff.

If you where old and dying and could somehow send a message, or suddenly appear to our younger selves - I wonder what we would each tell ourselves. Would you tell yourself to be a hedonist? Probably not the best advice, cause its kind of empty ultimately. Hmmmm?

"out to rock the globe while its still here to rock"

and

"I live with me I got my back tonight, you know what I'm saying"

Hmm...how did I suddenly connect "I live with me..." Black Sheep with "Live with Me" Rolling Stones?

The Rolling Stones - LIVE WITH ME

"You'd look good pram pushing
Down the high street" ;)

thank you "rockliveson69" "It's very clear that this song is catchy, rhythmic, and just plain awesome."

"Live With Me"

I got nasty habits, I take tea at three
Yes, and the meat I eat for dinner
Must be hung up for a week
My best friend, he shoots water rats
And feeds them to his geese
Don'cha think there's a place for you
In between the sheets?
Come on now, honey
We can build a home for three
Come on now, honey
Don't you wanna live with me?
And there's a score of harebrained children
They're all locked in the nursery
They got earphone heads they got dirty necks
They're so 20th century
Well they queue up for the bathroom
Round about 7:35
Don'cha think we need a woman's touch to make it come alive?
You'd look good pram pushing
Down the high street
Come on now, honey
Don't you wanna live with me?
Whoa, the servants they're so helpful, dear
The cook she is a whore
Yes, the butler has a place for her
Behind the pantry door
The maid, she's French, she's got no sense
She's wild for Crazy Horse
And when she strips, the chauffeur flips
The footman's eyes get crossed
Don'cha think there's a place for us
Right across the street
Don'cha think there's a place for you,
In between the sheets?
